What we collect, and why.

Valuely is designed to work without an account and to collect as little as possible. This page explains what is stored and where.

In your browser

Your guesses, results, streak and display name are saved in your browser using local storage, so the game remembers you tomorrow. They stay on your device. Clearing your browser data clears them.

On our servers

When you lock in a guess, we store it with an anonymous random identifier that your browser generates. The identifier is not linked to your name, email or device, and we cannot use it to identify you. We use these records to show every player how their guess compares with the crowd and to run the daily leaderboard. If you choose a display name for the leaderboard, that name is stored with your results and shown publicly.

The service is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Standard server logs (such as IP addresses and request times) may be kept briefly for security and reliability.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the game are used (for example how many people finish a puzzle or share a result). IP addresses are anonymised. Google may set cookies for this purpose; see how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

Valuely currently shows no advertising. If that changes, this page will be updated to describe what any advertising partner collects and how to opt out.

Cookies

Apart from Google Analytics (above), Valuely sets no tracking cookies. Local storage is used to save your game progress on your own device.

Children

Valuely is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

You can clear everything saved on your device at any time through your browser settings. To have your leaderboard name removed, contact us at hello@valuely.me with the name you used.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with the date updated below.
