About Valuely

How good is your sense of money?

What does Amazon earn in a year? What did Warren Buffett pay for his house? How much cash exists? Nobody knows these off the top of their head, but you can reason your way close. Valuely gives you three real figures a day and scores how close you land.

Every answer comes with the working, so your feel for the numbers sharpens the longer you play. Companies, deals, billionaires, economics, sport, property, the everyday stuff. No finance background needed.

How to play

1
Read the question

A real money figure. Revenue, a deal price, a fortune, a cost.

2
Type your guess

One guess, no looking it up. There's a calculator if you want to work it through.

3
See how close you were

Your score is how many times off you were. 1× is exact, 2× is double or half. Lower is better.

Scoring

Say the answer is $717 billion. A guess of $450 billion is 1.6× off. A guess of $70 billion is 10× off. High and low count the same. Under 1.25× is spot on, under 2× is close, under 5× is in the ballpark. Your daily score is the average of the three.
